Stuff happens, shit too..

Hallooooo!!!

I’m going to type some random stuff and some ‘wassupz’ that’s happening lately in my microscopic life.

News
Thank SHITness
I can’t recall the date of this article but I have to share this.
Some time back, there was a Beijing lady fell from the 6th storey.
She survived. All thanks to a pile of excrement. (Excrement=Shit)
I am not kidding. There was this renovating/construction thingy, clearing this and that. And that pile of shit happens to be at the right place at the right time!

“Alah Emak Kahwinkan aku..” –Oh Mom, Get Me Married (old Malay song)
There was this new reality tv show over at Italy. Yup, the title says it all. You heard of The Bachelor and/or The Bachelorette right? But this Italian show, instead of the man choosing and eliminating ladies in every episode, this time round, its their Mom who does the work. The mom will end up choosing the most eligible wife for the son at the end of the story. So,.. if there’s such show going on in Singapore, erm, hmm… Nah, I’m not gonna join. Nyeh-heh-heh!

Enough of the news for now. There’s too many weird ones running around my mind. Now, I wish to share some highlights that has been happening lately.

Monday
Not much happening. I was at home. Sometime in the middle of the day, Hadi(his blog link is there) sms’ed me. Tic-toc-tic-toc. He got me donuts (from Donut Factory) and he even sent it to my nearest bus stop!! ARH! So sweet of you!! Thank you very much!! I like it.. *winkz*
I don't know which one i should start with first. Haha!!

Tuesday
Some of you might know I’m a volunteer from Mendaki. Thru this organization, I was privileged enough to get to work(more to volunteer) alongside with people from the Malay museum. I met and made quite a handful of friends(everyone is much senior and experienced than me).

Kak faridah, she travels a lot (in fact she just got back from India, and heading to US next week? For work I guess), friends of museum, she grew up at Kampong Gelam. I learnt a lot from her.

There’s some people from Singapore Tourism Board, the licensed guide; like Tommy (retired military officer), Allison (used to be in IT, now in tourism), another lady (owns a family business), and another lady (forgotten her name and profession).
There was 2 people from Malay Heritage Centre itself. Widyawati, very pretty and sweet lady. And last but not least, the knowledgeable Rosli (grad from NUS in related field, still doing research). Very friendly guy.

With that said, I woke up early, head to the Malay Heritage Centre at Kampong Gelam. I was having a ‘training’ for an upcoming program, Heritage trail walk. The group of us walked all over the Bugis area. It was BLOODY tiring. I did not have the right walking footwear, everyone was sweating, feed-backing about the trail. It was like a trial run. It took a whole of 3 hours for us. Imagine bringing around a group of 30??!?!?! So I heard there will definitely be changes.

Wednesday
Comes today, I went back to the centre, same one. This time we were trained for guiding in the museum. There were only Kak Fariday, Allison and another lady, Marsha. Training us was Mr Khalid, the executive manager for the centre. He is also a curator for the museum. Not only that was my first time in the museum, I learned so much that I want to know more! Mr Khalid also allowed me to come back and ‘study more’ anytime I want,
“Just come over, tell the receptionist my name and that I allow you to go in,” he said.
To enter, I think you need some special passes or register or they only allow you to enter in big group? I’m not sure. No matter what, I am SO going back there soon!!! *Smilez*

Headed home, and later in the evening, I bought curry puff from the motorcycle uncle shouting “KARIPAAAP..” from the carpark. When I got back up at home,
“Cling-cling-cling” goes the bell.
Nope, I was not saved by the bell. It was my ‘friend’(my cousins called him my friend). He sells ice cream, and I don’t know his name, AND he is not my friend, I don’t know that uncle!!
Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream Potong(the one that's sandwiched with the thin waffle biscuits!! *Slurpz*

Haiz, that was quite a handful for the last few days. Tomorrow will be another day of ‘adventure’. I’ll update soon. For now, I just want to read more news!! *smilez*

Tata for now. I love you all!
